A Better Way to Invest in Real Estate

We all know that real estate makes a good investment.  It appreciates nicely over time, and is less prone to the ups and downs of the stock market.  Especially right now, when you can buy real estate at low prices and therefore maximize your profits when you eventually sell off the property.

But what to do with your investment in the meantime?  Most of the time, investors don’t intend to just live in the house, and paying for an empty house can put a dent in the financial benefits of investing in real estate.  Renting the property is an option, of course, but with it comes a lot of risk: Tenants might not pay their rent, might do considerable damage to the property, and might even require the time and expense of legal action to collect on rent and compensation for damages.

A much better option, especially in popular vacation spots such as Orlando, Florida, is to turn your real estate investment into a vacation rental, also known as a villa.  Orlando villas are highly sought after by vacationers who don’t want the impersonal experience and lack of privacy of staying in a hotel — and many vacationers will pay a lot for this luxury.

To set a Florida home up as a villa, you will need to furnish it in a modern, luxurious style, outfit it with a fully stocked kitchen, and provide all the linens (towels, bed sheets, extra blankets, etc.) that guests would need during their visit.  Then you simply list your Florida villa with a vacation rental management company, and see what happens!

The good thing about turning your real estate investments into Orlando Florida villas is that while you may only need someone renting the home for a couple of weekends a month in order to justify the investment, you can make money hand over fist during more active seasons, when the home is rented out much more frequently.  Also, you face much less of a risk than if you were renting the house out to tenants: The villa is typically booked and paid for in advance, so you don’t face the likelihood of unpaid rent, and vacationers tend to do much less damage and treat things with much more respect than tenants.
